Destination Moon: It's Not The End Of The World

Keeping hopes up!

As Vikram came deliciously close (precisely 2.1 km) to embracing the moon before it lost contact with the ground station, many an Indian fell into a stupor. But as they say, all is not lost! Former Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Director D Sasikumar said that there was no need to feel disheartened as the communication loss with "Vikram" lander may not have been due to crash-landing. Also, the communication channel is still on between the lander and the orbiter, so hey! you gotta keep your hopes up! Being the proud Indian's that we are, TeamAwesome@Bigsmall is happy to sport the Tricolour lapel pin come what may.
